She continued her education at Central where she received her Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Melissa has been certified by The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants since 2011 and is licensed to practice medicine in Michigan. She is also certified in basic life support. She is a member of both the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the Michigan Academy of Physician Assistants (MAPA).
