Overview
A Hill-Sachs lesion is an impression fracture of the head of the upper arm bone (humerus) caused by contact with the surface of the shoulder socket (glenoid) when dislocated. It is most common in patients who dislocate their shoulders anteriorly (to the front) and patients with recurrent shoulder instability.

Anterior shoulder dislocation
Recurrent shoulder instability
Symptoms
Pain or instability sensation with raising arm or rotation to the outside
