Overview
A complete shoulder dislocation means that the head of the upper arm bone (humerus) is all the way out of the socket (glenoid).

Numbness
Weakness

Fall on an outstretched arm
Direct blow to the shoulder
Diagnosis
Physical examination and medical history consultation
X-ray
Treatment
Closed reduction (placing the ball of the upper arm bone back into the joint socket)
Immobilization
Rest
Application of ice
Physical therapy
Bracing
Surgery
